LOOKING AHEAD

Looking Ahead

This was the biggest weekend of September by match volume — 6,292 across 16 events — and the deepest week for streak-breaking upsets. Four fighters with 20-plus consecutive wins all lost on the same Saturday. In a sport built on consistency, that many long runs ending at once is the kind of statistical cluster that makes the data interesting.
