Jits.gg is an independent sports analytics platform. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with any tournament organization, governing body, or competition circuit, including but not limited to JJWL (Jiu-Jitsu World League), IBJJF (International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation), AGF (American Grappling Federation), NAGA, Grappling Industries, or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates.

All tournament organization names, logos, and trademarks mentioned on this Platform are the property of their respective owners and are used solely for identification and informational purposes. Their use does not imply any affiliation or endorsement.

All competition data displayed on Jits.gg is sourced exclusively from publicly available information. Specifically:

• Tournament results published on public-facing websites operated by tournament organizations
• Competition brackets and placements accessible to any member of the general public via standard web browsers
• Academy names and affiliations as listed in public tournament registrations and results

We do not access password-protected areas, private databases, internal systems, or any non-public data. We do not circumvent technical measures to access restricted content. Every piece of competition data on Jits.gg was, at the time of collection, freely and publicly available on the open internet.

Our use of publicly available competition data is protected under multiple legal frameworks:

• First Amendment (U.S.): Reporting on public sporting events and competition outcomes is protected speech. Sports statistics are factual records not subject to copyright.
• Feist Publications v. Rural Telephone (U.S. Supreme Court, 1991): Facts and factual compilations are not copyrightable. Competition results are facts.
• Fair Use (17 U.S.C. § 107): Our transformative use of competition data — creating original analytics, ratings, statistical models, and comparative tools — constitutes fair use. We add substantial new value through original analysis rather than merely reproducing source material.
• hiQ Labs v. LinkedIn (Ninth Circuit, 2022): Scraping publicly available data does not violate the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act when the data is not behind authentication barriers.

Jits.gg generates original analytical content — including Elo ratings, DVI (Development Velocity Index), xMedal metrics, segment benchmarks, tier classifications, and all derived statistics — that does not exist in any source material. These are our original intellectual contributions.

Jits.gg respects intellectual property rights. If you believe that content on our Platform infringes your copyright, please submit a DMCA takedown notice to:

Your notice must include: identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed, identification of the material on Jits.gg claimed to be infringing (including URL), your contact information, a statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner, and your physical or electronic signature.

Important note: Competition results (names, match outcomes, placements) are factual data and are not copyrightable under U.S. law. DMCA notices concerning factual competition data will be evaluated accordingly.

Jits.gg does not remove publicly available competition data. All data displayed on this Platform consists of factual records of public sporting events — published by tournament organizations on their own websites, accessible to anyone with an internet connection. We are not the source of this data and we are not the appropriate target for removal requests.

Competition results are public records. When an individual (or their parent/guardian) registers for and competes in a public tournament, the tournament organization publishes those results publicly. Jits.gg indexes and analyzes these already-public facts, just as any sports statistics website, newspaper, or broadcaster may report on the results of public sporting events.

If you wish to have your competition results removed from the internet, you must contact the tournament organization that originally published the data (e.g., JJWL, IBJJF, AGF). Jits.gg has no control over third-party tournament websites and cannot remove data at its source.

We will correct factual errors — such as misspelled names, incorrect academy affiliations, or wrong match outcomes — upon request. Contact hello@jits.gg with the subject "Data Correction" and provide details of the error.

Nothing on this Platform constitutes legal advice. The information on this page is provided for transparency purposes only. If you have specific legal concerns, consult a qualified attorney.

Unauthorized automated access to Jits.gg, including scraping, crawling, or data extraction via bots, scripts, or automated tools, is strictly prohibited without prior written consent. We actively monitor for and block unauthorized automated access. Violations may result in permanent IP bans and, where appropriate, legal action under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act (18 U.S.C. § 1030) and applicable state laws.

Authorized search engine crawlers (Googlebot, Bingbot, etc.) are permitted per our robots.txt file.

All disputes are governed by the laws of the State of Texas and shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas.
